Live in High Definition for Cinemas
Broadsat has developed a platform for distributing high-definition live content via satellite. The content is directly delivered to digital cinemas or multi-purpose halls on a Cinema Kit, a low-cost, small, non-intrusive system which is easy to install and integrate with any other devices already installed in the cinema.
Features:
- Can receive live content via satellites transmitting from any orbital position using the formats MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 over DVB-S/DVB-S2, and with a bitrate of up to 40Mbit/s
- Decodes and decrypts the received content
- Encodes and encrypts the content in H.264 (MPEG-4 part 10)
- Transmits the content in multicast mode over a dedicated private satellite channel
- Supports live video with a resolution of up to 1080/i without any downscaling in the transmission of the content.
Supports additional content (eg commercials) which can be transmitted before the main event or during the intervals
