How does it work?
To install the 8Box just plug in the power supply and connect the satellite and network cards. You can then configure it on a user-friendly web interface.
8Box will create an automatic connection to OPENSKY™ (following the rules configured) without the need of any other manual operations, such as satlogin and satlogout. 8Box will receive the satellite data and route the traffic over the network. The dial-on-demand option and the cache services will optimise both the connection costs and the bandwidth utilisation, so you will get the best performance at the lowest costs.
You can share Fast Internet, Push and TV streams over your network with one single OPENSKY™ subscription.
If you have an encoder, you can transmit your own web TV over your LAN. 8Box can also be equipped with a second network card to work as a local router: this way each client can access the network using one single IP address (masquerading). The optional Firewall module allows you to control the access to your servers.
